For your last blog post, please discuss one of the business models you found interesting form this week’s presentations of our final projects. Please do not discuss your own proposed business model. Highlight the strengths of the business model and provide some suggestions for improvement.
One of my favorite business model was from the Indie Music company. I am a music lover and listen to that genre of music; and I think that the combined social network and online music store is an effective way to promote new and up-and-coming bands. The web design prototype seems very user friendly for both musicians and customers. Also, with its community-driven business model, web surfers can feel a sense of community. Besides, the feature that allows bands to be promoted only once is interesting in the way that bands can get more attention. In addition, it permits other bands to get some recognition since bands are not allowed to monopolize the website. One weakness is that the company should expand its styles of music to attract more users.
